As I was sitting one day, I found myself in front of a construction site. The man digging a hole was young and gay, After that, I never thought of that hole the same.
I began to see, A digging a hole is like life. It’s peculiar really, But the more you work, the deeper in you get.
After so many pondered life as a whole, I came up with the answer. Who knew something as simple as digging a hole, Would be the meaning of life?

ReplyDeleteHomonym Poem: The Wonderful Chili Hut
ReplyDeleteWe hope to soon send everyone a fax
So they can get the real facts
About the Wonderful Chili Hut!
If the weather outside gets you feeling a little chilly
Only one thing will make you feel better: our chili.
At the Wonderful Chili Hut!
As soon as you walk up our entry stair
At our vats of chili you will stare
After just taking bite number one
You’ll see why we’ve won
The hearts of chili lovers everywhere
At the Wonderful Chili Hut!
No matter how rich or poor
We get everyone a pour
At the Wonderful Chili Hut!
Even late into the night
We serve chili worthy of a knight
So we understand when you ask us to bring forth
Another serving, even if it’s your fourth.
At the Wonderful Chili Hut!
After tasting our meat
You’ll always want to bring your friends to meet
At the Wonderful Chili Hut!
So if the weather outside gets you feeling a little chilly
You know where to go to get the best chili.
We’ll see soon you at the Wonderful Chili Hut!

Eagle’s Egg
ReplyDeleteI did not know during the ascent
That she would not assent
I needed aid
My aide
As I climbed the tree to the aerie
It was quite airy
As I climbed the tree, I spoke aloud
“Your eggs, I shall take. Am I allowed?”
Her claws said no
This I certainly know
As I was on the top, away
I fell, not to the bottom, but aweigh
I wanted to be on a beach
Not a beech
We were always so merry,
ReplyDeleteThey said we would marry.
On our ascent,
There was nothing but assent.
With you I could soar,
Now im just sore.
Everything under the clouds we discussed,
But now you just look at me with disgust.
You have your band,
I understand I’m banned.
You made me bolder,
More like a boulder.
From me youll never hear another groan,
Ive changed and grown.

Ocean water oh so blue
ReplyDeleteSwift wind how it blew
Sea turtles are being born
My feet walk along the bourn
Trodden sand aisle
My heart lives on this isle
This place of beauty is the sea
Sunset, shells, and sky are all I see
The waves fall and rise for hours
The ocean is a gift of ours
~Klarissa Schwiethale
One summer day, as the wind blew,
ReplyDeleteI looked up at the sky, pretty and blue.
Lying in the sun is my favorite thing to do.
And I like to stare at the grass covered with dew.
Then, as the wind blows through my hair,
I see the most adorable little hare.
Next, I look across the field bare,
And in a far-away forest, I see a bear.
I look to my right and see something dear,
A joyful, little family of graceful deer.
These stunning sights under the sun's rays,
All make me happy, and my spirits raise.

ReplyDeleteTo Win Or To Lose?
ReplyDeleteI need to play this game and win
But I don't know when
I want to be aweful
But I'm really quite awful
It's a good person I want to be
But if I lose I'll sting you like a bee
And if I lose, I'll surely faint
But maybe just to win, I'll use a feint
When I play, the winner will be faux
As you will have become my instant foe
The fun moments of this game are few
And at the end of it, you'll be saying "phew!"
When I'm victorious, I'll want a trophy that is gilt
But underneath, I'll really be filled with guilt
I really want to play this game and win
But I just don't know when
Sometimes
ReplyDeleteSometimes I feel as I might break,
Sometimes I want to stop and press the brake
Sometimes life is seen as a long course,
Sometimes easy, sometimes coarse,
Sometimes you must be a knight,
Sometimes you must stay silent in the night,
Sometimes my heart will tighten,
Sometimes it is as big as a titan,
Sometimes you are treated like a serf,
Sometimes you are free like a surf,
Life can have joy, life can be hard,
Keep pushing
The Weight of the Wait
ReplyDeleteI know for a fact
That people hate to wait.
Impatience is such
A prominent trait.
Upon each of our futures
We place so much weight.
We each want to know
If we will be grea.t
People cannot be patient,
They cannot wait.
Each of us wants to know,
What will be our fate.
But life is changing
At a rapid rate.
So believe me when I say
Not long will you wait.

A Mother’s Pain
ReplyDeleteI still loved you come morning
Still in my heart I was mourning
I wish it was you I could see
Wish my pain was not as vast as the sea
With every fiber of my being, in every tear, God I pray you were here
Every condolence, every voice, is lost, it’s only your voice I want to hear
It’s as if you were wrenched away from my grasp by the wind as it blew
As if you had let go and fell upward into the sky colored blue
High up, suspended, a dot of brilliance in the sky, the sun
Up high, a fiery ball as bright and beautiful as you, my son
You can’t be gone, no, I know up there, somewhere, your spirit must soar
Can’t be gone, I say over and over and over, but still my chest is sore
I ask, for God’s sake, why?
Flee Flea!
ReplyDeleteYou jump on a fir
To get closer to my dog’s fur
You give me the flu
I wish away you flew
I don’t know what to wear
Or what time to go or where
To stop you from getting in my vein
Or maybe this will all end in vain
If only I stop you by saying no
But the next time you come, I’ll never know
What Affects the Effect?
ReplyDeleteArman Sobhi
There are countless ads on television
Intended to add to the store’s popularity
That is what affects the effect
If one is hit in the head with a ball
The pain is likely to cause them to bawl
That is what affects the effect
Last week I was at a park and there was a band
They caused so much commotion, they were banned
That was what affected the effect
Consuming food with too much dye
May be a cause for one to die
That is what affects the effect
If one has a gas tank with a hole
They will lose all their gas as a whole
That is what affects the effect
The King Who Ate Too Much (Ate vs. Eight)
ReplyDeleteIn a kingdom far, far away,
The king’s food was never astray
He indulged himself in every meal
His growing body he could feel
He ate eight roasts and eight pies
Eight fruits and eight thighs
He washed it all down with cups of tea
And too the bathroom he had to flee
Each day he got fatter
And wondered, “What was the matter?”
He glanced in the mirror and lost his pride
And later that night he died
The Fullest Climb
ReplyDeleteLife is a climb,
A long, treacherous climb.
But without my own assent,
I wouldn’t be able to ascent.
For the climb has its ups and downs
Its cliffs and its sturdy ground.
Without being willing, I won’t go anywhere.
I wouldn’t get hurt, and I wouldn’t lose a tear.
But that wouldn’t be living life to its fullest,
For it’s through the trenches that life becomes the clearest.
That summit is always calling,
While below I can hear the wind blowing.
Life in the safe zone keeps you from harm,
But it doesn’t give you life’s wit and charm.
Life to the fullest is when you tackle that climb,
So that you can reach the summit in time.
Life is a climb, a treacherous climb.
But if I, myself, give the right sign,
I will be able to make it to the top,
For the summit is a glorious spot.
The spot I want to be at during the end.
So that I leave everything behind with nothing to mend.

ReplyDeleteBy: Michael Carlson
Ball on the inside, my bat breaks
I can't afford to hit the brakes
On first base is where I want to be
Oh my gosh is that a bee
Too bad the pitcher isn't a seer
Because when I steal I will sear
The ground beneath me
But not as pretty as the sound of mi
It doesn't take a group of Crays
As the answer is in the craze
Of the fans in the stands and as they will allude
That I did elude
The tag of the man on second base
I pound the bag and it releases a bass
You know that the only way to stop my flow
Would be to set me adrift on an ice floe
I walk of the bag with a casual gait
The only way to stop me would be to build a gate
I look through the pitcher's guise
And realize that no number of guys
Will stop me from taking another place
But with more elegance than a wild plaice
Although I may not be number one
In the battle with the pitcher I have won

ReplyDeleteLast breath of air
ReplyDeleteSo it’s today she will take her last breath of air,
All because of that one futile err.
As she grew she became bolder,
But it is so that crushed her like a boulder.
With away she took his last breath of air,
Never shall the picture be erased, e’re.
She could have been the alfa-dog heir,
But instead today she’ll be gone for e’er.
She runs and jumps through the air,
Completely unknowing of the consequence of her great err.
Though for a dog she is quite a belle,
here comes the ringing of her final bell.
With her gone today ere,
The tears will spill for our little heir.
Today she will be gone fore’re,
And at 5:30 take her last breath of air.
No longer can her growls and barks ring through the air,
All from that killing err.
We all knew it would happen ere,
Though we thought it would be long without this fatal err.
Though her strength makes me aweful,
What will happen to her because of it is awful.
So it’s today she will take her last breath of air,
All because of that one futile err.

The Knight in the Night
ReplyDeleteIn a land far far away
There was a town that went astray
Two knights fought over a girl
One of their names was Murl
Not just any girl, the king’s daughter
In order to marry her, they were required to slaughter
When the clock struck midnight
The two males were forced to fight
The weaker man would die
The stronger one would tell him good-bye
The two men met each other in the wood
Between them the referee stood
Out of nowhere a knight appeared
For everyone’s safety the princess feared
The knight killed both men
His form was a perfect ten
The one in armor was the one to take the princess’ heart
At that moment their romance was to start
His life was at its height
The princess married the knight who came in the night
Seeing Land and Sea:
ReplyDeleteI watch with awe at the family of hares
Which appear so soft with their bodies of hair
I desperately want to live with them under the sun
Nature is such a beautiful being, my son
I used to always go camping with my father
Into the woods we’d go farther and farther.
But today we live run by electronics and cords
It seems humans now live by a different accord.
Sometimes it is good to just take a break
When life gets too busy, just put on the brake
Take a look at nature: grass, plants, and berry
I’d say that technology is something we must bury
Son, let us live our lives free, break out of this cell
You and I will live life with enough love to sell
All I ask of you, my son, is to stop sometimes and see
That life is more than electronics. There's beauty in land and sea.
Grays and graze
ReplyDeleteHorses grazing in an empty field,
Enjoying their timeless days
Amidst the gray cloud shield
The air warning of a storm,
The omiunous lighting
Nothing out of the norm
The open fields and missing fences
The thriving lazy horses
And their sensitive senses
I tried to breathe in air
ReplyDeleteWhen I found out I was heir
I stood there awed
And found it quite odd
That I went from a bettor
To a better
Last week I was an out cast
Now I am on the top of the social caste
I used to be my only counsel
But now I am advised by an entire council
It has been days
And yet I'm still in a daze
I found out I was heir
And couldn't breathe in any air
Sometimes when you need to be Bolder
ReplyDeleteYou feel like you are stuck behind a boulder
You New Year’s resolution could be to be bolder.
Then you would need to be more courageous.
But if you were hiking there is a chance you would see a boulder.
Then you climb up and strike a pose.
When you climb up the boulder,
Some people will say you are bolder.
So really do you want to be bolder?
Or see a boulder?

ReplyDeleteHeir of the Air
ReplyDeleteMy single egg
Flecked with blue and gray
Contains our sky's future
He will emerge any day
He is king of the clouds
My heir of the air
He will fly over all
A delightful affair
The winds will guide him
In the right direction
While I watch from above
As he becomes perfection
I am proud of my only son
And the sky he adorns
The air is the kingdom
To which the heir will be born
We watched his ceiling
ReplyDeleteBe covered in earth
His fate it was sealing
The straining cord
Struck a chord
And the wood it gave a creak
They cried a little creek
We gave him one last altar
To mourn the past we couldn’t alter
Our hearts blue it dyed
For the man we loved had died
The flower needs the bee
ReplyDeletejust like I need to be
Flexible and not let myself be bowled
over by the wind. Be bold.
Stand strong like a boulder.
Be bolder.
In this world there is no ceiling,
No reason for any sealing.
The birds sound choral,
and the sky is colored coral.
My life doesn’t need a foreword,
because it’s always moving forward.
Past the fields of hays,
there is a lifting haze.
I tell myself ‘Be bold’,
because you can’t be bowled.
Together As One

He threw a wave goodbye
He then went through the hall
Their eyed were filled with tears
As he went over there
They earned for him to return
Some of the maids used an urn
What they urned was whit
Some tried to lighted the mood with their wit
Some began to soar
But it made them quite sore
So they began to mewl

I spend my days in a daze,
ReplyDeleteDreaming of knights,
To fill my nights.
I spend my days in a daze,
Waiting to leap from behind my boulder,
And show that I, too, can be bolder.
I spend my days in a daze,
Hoping to be number one,
Hoping to show everyone I have won.

I really enjoy going on vacations
ReplyDeleteand try to find out whats similar about to places, their relations
If the place has a beach I play with a sand pail
and end up on a boat feeling nausious and pale
After a long vacation that we have done a lot I moan and groan
on the flight back I realize how much my hair has grown
After coming back from Florida I really knew
that Disney Worlds rides weren't really that new
When going parasailing I really flew
but when I touched the ground I felt like I was catching the flu
Where ever I go I have always sent
a penny to my cousin which costs more then a cent
In California I heard every body wail
when they saw Shamoo the humongous whale
Every hotel has a beautiful sight
of the things that make up a different site
Leaving somebody at the altar,
ReplyDeleteIs just something you cannot alter.
Looking much like a beluga whale,
The bride soon began to unstoppingly wail.
Nowhere to be found was the groom,
who desperately needed a groom.
He'll take to the sea,
Where is bride cant see.
Far and away he will soar,
Away from the bride that was too much of a sore.
Homonym Poem: Pear & Pair
ReplyDeleteColleen Richards
There once were two little children
And what a fine pair they were
Thy ran through the forest looking for trees
From which they could pluck
A juicy ripe pear
And as they grew up
They continued their play
Even as they grew old and gray
Thy still walked through the forest each day
As a pair, husband and wife
An when they went on their walks
They always looked
For juicy ripe pear to eat
The money I earn
ReplyDeleteIs stored in an urn
It’s for green that I yearn
So from my mistakes I learn
So that money I can burn,
Comes pouring into my urn,
And then more I can earn.

A wonderful experience
ReplyDeleteEither real or fake
Whether you fly with dust
Or take a boat across a lake
The journey is what counts
Not the destination
No matter where life takes you
Be surrounded by imagination
On a ferry ride
An adventure starts to brew
The bumpy waves make the magic start
And then pirates and fairies show up too.
Captain Hook is a menace
But Peter and Tink will save the day
With a little help from fairy dust
The evil pirate they will slay
There is an air of mystery
On that river boat
Children play and frolic with the fairies
While they are afloat
A fairy and a ferry both alike
Can make the day for a tyke
Ants and Aunt
ReplyDeleteLook at you little creatures,
Crawling on the ground.
I wonder what you’re thinking,
As you scurry all around.
You insects that surround me
Are crawling on my pants,
You are the very best climbers
And you’re commonly known as ants.
every ant is made of three pieces
Though they all are so diverse,
I like to watch and see you,
When you don’t climb in my purse.
Would you tell me of your family?
Or do you live a lonely life,
I wonder if two would marry
And become husband and wife.
In my world, all big and tall,
I have a family.
With father, mother and siblings too
My house is filled to capacity.
I think of them and sigh,
When I picture what they’d do
If they caught me sitting in the dirt
Staring down at you.
My mother would get frustrated,
My father would be fried,
My cousin would come join me,
But her mother would go hide.
A cousin’s mother as we all know,
Has a different name.
Her husband I call “uncle”,
And aunt’s her right to fame.
Oh auntie dear, you do not see,
All these ants can do.
My aunt you see is terrified,
Of critters, much like you.
She will never touch a spider,
She would run away from bees,
A butterfly is graceful,
When she does not see.
If Aunt would ever hold a caterpillar,
That would be a first,
But of all the things she’s scared of,
Ants are the very worst.
To see the sea.
ReplyDeleteCrashing waves among the beach
A feeling so good you have to reach
Among the blue water and sky
The seagulls and salty air fly
The children play in the sand
A day at the beach is never bland
To see the sea may be an enemy
To those of us who don't enjoy the salty breeze.
Just above the sunrise
There you'll see your precious prize
A picture perfect for your friends
Don't you wish this vacation would never end.
So stay in this moment and see the sea
For its beauty will be your only enemy.
Homonyms (Fair Fair)
ReplyDeleteThrow the baseball,
Swing the mallet,
Try to win the prize.
The problem is,
The games aren’t fair,
In the players’ eyes.
The county fair
Has come to town
The kids all scream and shout.
They flood the games
Ready to play
Without a shred of doubt.
All they ever really want
Is to win
The big stuffed monkey.
Until they realize
At the basketball toss
The balls are all shaped funky.
The prizes look
Like they can be achieved
If you only use much care.
But I have come
To understand
That county fairs aren’t fair.
We wake up in the early morning,
ReplyDeleteTo only find ourselves mourning.
They say that every day is a new day,
But why do we have worries that always stay?
The stress of life is ever-bearing,
Spend every moment worried and caring.
The morning sun does bring light,
But only to wait for dusk to bring the night.
Just because the date has changed,
Doesn't mean your life will be arranged.
Never does the sun bring anything new,
Except more stress to come and brew.
So when you go to sleep tonight,
Do not expect everything tomorrow to be alright.
Everyone seems to have faith in the morning,
When really we should spend it mourning.
The Traveler
ReplyDeleteI traveled down a winding road
On a motorcycle I rode
I rode on through the endless night
On my noble steed, I was a knight
I looked up when I heard a creek,
T’was a tree that ran me into a creek
In the early morning I would wake
To find myself in a creek’s wake
The light shone brightly through the wood
Would I come back? Yes, I would
The lure of the water just wasn’t fair,
It felt as if I should be paying a fare
My surroundings looked like a movie scene
A movie that everyone should have seen
The gentle water supported my back
And I felt I should never go back
Would I ever leave, I don’t know,
But for right now, the answer is no
I traveled down a winding road,
On a blissful creek I rode
Coarse and Course
ReplyDeleteThe road was filled with sand and rocks
With each step tore holes through my socks
Back down the road
With cars that flowed
They shook and slid
As tires spin and skid
It was the only way for here to there
Was the mountain pass so bare
From the little town
To the sprawling city with air quite brown
The trees were down below
And none were above where they cannot grow
The flowing river at the bottom
Was very high in early autumn
The torrent of river water
Was quite a sight for any spotter
The river brought sand and stone
That shook every bone
On that road so very coarse
Was the town to city course
Have you ever seen the sea?
ReplyDeleteIt's as amazing as can be!
For someone who lives under a mountains shadow like I
Does not often get to see
Something so fantastic by and by
Something like the sea
The white cap waves and the blue waters
The brownish sand
the children with mothers and fathers
Like a natural band
The fish, crabs, are food for me
The seagulls, music from the sky
I wish I could see the sea
And keep it in my mind I will try
I love my mountains and love my lakes
But sometimes it gets too cod
It will not nor ever be a mistake
If on the mountain, I grow old
But the sea I love, at least the beach
the waves rolling on shore
To someone, a lot the sea can teach
so that for a while, they don't care anymore
Have you ever seen the sea?
It's as amazing as can be!

the cold doesn't bring pain
such a beautiful place
life is not a race
just enjoy every second

Effect and Affect
ReplyDeleteThe effect of this incident
Caused an affect on the passengers
While driving down the icy road
She lost control of the heavy load
The truck swerved to the left
And before she could react it turned with great heft
We screamed as it crashed
And realized the front headlight was smashed
The brick wall stayed intact
But the fear still causes react
The truck was accelearting quickly
She wasn't speeding but the ice made it tricky
I covered my eyes
And screamed with suprise
All I could see was white
Before I opened my eyes with great fright
The truck will survive
But we will live all our lives
With the emotions
That came with the trucks motion
This effects of the crash
Though I hate to rehash
Will continue to affect
My sister and I

Boulder and Bolder
ReplyDeleteA boulder is a giant rock
that water, ice, and wind
Have not caused it to lose its strength
because it is "thick-skinned"
Now why can I not be like that?
Why can I not be bolder?
Why do harsh things that people say
stay inside me and smolder?
I want those words to bounce right off
just like boulders remit
I am going to start right now,
to this I will commit.

In the hands of their foe.
listen to her pleas
ReplyDeleteshes saying help me please
the heavy thoughts they weigh
her down shes looking for a better way
even though the thoughts are not aloud
to care and help would be allowed
her eyes are aweful
though her past has been awful
she will speak and you will hear
because at this moment she is here
listen to her pleas
shes saying help me please

A princess waiting for her knight
ReplyDeleteStares out at the starry night
She wonders if he’s short or tall
As she sees a lone star fall
She hopes that maybe he’ll be cute
Then she hears an owl hoot
Will he take her from this tower
She sighs and sees a meteor shower
But what if her knight never shows
A single tear rolls down her nose
The only thing in which she can rely
Is the coming of the night sky

Sundays and Sundaes
ReplyDeleteI make two simple phrases
And people automatically go into dazes
The first I said was, "I love to eat tasty Sundaes."
They imagine me eating a bunch of Sundays
That I have a crave to eat calendar dates
And cook those days to serve onto plates
It is a rather odd picture that someone might see
All I said was, "I love to eat tasty Sundaes." It is plain to see
The second phrase I had in mind was, "I sit around on Sundays."
Though the picture formed was me sitting upon Sundaes
That I lounge all day on top of ice-cream
Eating when I want, and sliding off the mound as if it was a dream
Now why would someone think that, that I bought enough ice-cream to sit on?
It is very peculiar to imagine, me surrounded by pecans
I love to eat Sundaes and I sit around on Sundays
I could have made it easier and said I sit around on Mondays

Harry had a view from an aerie
ReplyDeleteOn that night so airy.
Ron poked at an ant
As he remembered his aunt.
Hermione suggested the ascent
Ron and Harry decided to assent.
For Dobby Harry did bury
Whilst Hermione picked a berry.
Hermione made dough
While Harry and Ron saw a doe.
Trelawney is an oracle
If only she could’ve seen George losing his auricle.
That Gryffindor sword was a faux
In the hands of their foe.

A Whole Hole
ReplyDeleteAs I was sitting one day,
I found myself in front of a construction site.
The man digging a hole was young and gay,
After that, I never thought of that hole the same.
I began to see,
A digging a hole is like life.
It’s peculiar really,
But the more you work, the deeper in you get.
After so many pondered life as a whole,
I came up with the answer.
Who knew something as simple as digging a hole,
Would be the meaning of life?
The odd man that everyone awed at
ReplyDeleteSo, there is this one odd man
Let’s be honest, I don’t think he has even one fan
He is awed at all the time
He thinks because he is sublime
In reality the truth is that
Everyone thinks he is really a brat
He is very strange
And kind of deranged
He drinks tons of beer
And always says, “Hip hip, let’s cheer!”
The person follows by saying
“Oh lord Please hear me praying
There is a man here
Who has had a little too much beer
He is gross
And possibly may have over dosed
Oh lord, I just awed
Because he fell and dislocated his jaw
Help me please
He is now starting to seize.
Now I feel bad
And a little bit sad
I awed at a very odd man
When in fact his heart has just been broken by a women named Anne
Fishing
ReplyDeleteNothing becoming of aural
Everyone’s mouths non oral
My father taught me a bate
Sitting in the water is my bait
I walk into the lake a little bolder
And hit my foot on a boulder
Outside with the fresh scent
I am in no need of cent
Catching a fish is coarse
I need to change my course
The water has many dyes
With no fish my hope dies
Then all of a sudden I catch one
After this long day’s wait I guess I won
Waiting here at this place
I actually caught a plaice

Sons are like the Sun
ReplyDeleteBright and burning it will hurt your eyes
Stay out in the sun to long you may get burned
But it dies away tears, and dulls peoples cries
A son is a boy that will one day be a man
Their futures they build off hopeful plans
To Parents he can bring Joy and sorrow
The sun can help grow and destroy
It has power, radiance, and might
But to a mother, a son can be described the same way
A son is like the sun,
he has the power to create or destroy
But instead of life and energy
It the decisions of good and bad
Once a tall, dark knight
ReplyDeleteRode into the night,
Promising he would
Be back.
He killed dragons,
And giants,
And ogres galore,
To keep his kingdom
Safe.
And then that dark knight
Rode out towards the light,
Hoping his princess would
Be there.

Lie Next to a Lie~~
ReplyDeleteI could trace his name a thousand times
up in the auburn sky-
It doesn't change the fact that I
lied down next to a lie.
I thought that what he said to me
as we lied under the stars
was the truth, I didn't see
the lie behind his words.
"I love you", whispered in my ear,
"I'll never let you go".
A carefully crafted web of lies
That I was trapped below.
Still I followed him around,
begging with puppy dog eyes.
And when he finally gave in to me,
I lied next to a lie.

Ice Skater
ReplyDeleteAs she walked down the aisle
She acted as if she was on her own isle
The ice was a clear blue
And as she skated past the wind blew
Matching the ice was her clothes
A triple lutz she was about to close
But dusted over this section of ice was flour
This made a mess of the performance of this beautiful flower
Our poor skater took a great fall
Her injury won’t allow her to skate again till Fall
In her heart was much pain
The only thing she could do is stare out the window pane
She can’t wait to get back
But first she must get surgery on her back
We all ask who could have done this
And who could hurt ice skaters like these
It seems that this only happens to those at a career peak
Someone must have peeked
We all hope she comes to the rink again
A new page she must begin
Aloud, Allowed
ReplyDeleteAll through my life, I have been told
Maintain your true self, be strong, be bold.
Even though this mantra has been repeated
Relentless teasing has my stamina depleted.
In school I was taught to try to fit in
Conform to the crowd, to be different is to sin.
And my true self, she never speaks.
Forced silent by society.
Unless one wants to be cast aside
Certain rules exist by which we must abide.
Keep in line, adhere to the norms.
You must always obey, you must always conform.
Everyone will be judging each thing that you do.
Anything that you say will be held against you.
However, deep inside me still stirs
A restlessness I cannot curb.
Something within me wishes to scream
Against the current, against the scheme.
I dream of a day when I will be allowed
To truly speak my mind aloud.
From all this stress I really need a break
ReplyDeleteAnd I’m afraid my back just may brake
My teachers want me to put school on altar
But they should understand my personality would never alter
It is as if at me they continually bait
I just wish the endless yelling would bate
I had a teacher whose head was bald
He thought me everything, when I lost him I bawled
My life to me by my teachers was bode
But it seems it’s coming true my life has bowed
It’s like every day I get hit by a boulder
But for my old teacher I will get bolder
For I have a cache
Out of wish I will cash
I will canter
Towards my dream of being a cantor
The old ways of witch I act will throw away and that package be sealing
From now on the only place I shoot for is the Ceiling
I don’t care if anyone gives a cent
From away has that package been sent
When my package does land I will hit with a crater
For my problems and troubles are locked away in that krater
